In 2004, I accepted my first position in the industry that would later become my passion. Serving older adults is more than just a career; it is a calling, and one that, when done correctly, can bring happiness and satisfaction to all parties involved. • Served at the York County Area Agency on Aging • Adult Residential Licensing Representative with Pennsylvania Department of Human Services providing regulatory oversight and guidance to personal care home providers • Personal Care Home Administrator for national and regional providers: participated in changes in legal entities by providing guidance on state-specific compliance issues and operational challenges • Helped to develop the 100-hour Personal Care Home Administrator Training Course at Penn State York and has instructed numerous sections • Expertise in regulatory affairs, community-level operations and associate training and development

I would like to take this opportunity to announce that Tami Barley has decided to retire as co-owner of Senior Living Consultants of York LLC. As one of our founding members, Tami was invaluable in creating a solid foundation for our mission to build upon. Her deep roots in York County as a healthcare and long term care professional helped us establish our focus and set our course. Her contributions to Senior Living Consultant of York LLC are beyond measure. Thankfully…she is not leaving the company entirely.
Although Tami is retiring as an owner, she has graciously offered to serve in an advisory capacity and continue to provide guidance and support to the company. Additionally, she will continue to instruct and provide training for our clients, on a subcontracted basis. This will allow her the flexibility to travel and spend time with family, but still utilize her education and experience to assist our clients whenever her expertise is needed. I am very thankful to have had Tami Barley as a business partner, but more importantly, to continue to have her as an amazing friend.
